Let Yourself Be Happy

Let yourself be happy

The world is filled with people who are so afraid of running out of money they forget to let themselves be happy.

Hi, I’m Bradford Ferguson with Halter Ferguson Financial. And I get it. Everyone tells you to save, save, save. And you keep hearing that Social Security is dying. That you’re going to run out of money. Or that you have to be a multi-millionaire to “make it work.” The air is polluted with fear. The stink of it so strong it’s suffocating. It’s easy to to believe you have to have more, or become a miser.

Is becoming a multi-millionaire or a miser the only ways to not run out of money? Of course not! But if you keep believing you have to be one or the other, you’ll likely be unhappy and living with the stink of that fear.

So what’s the alternative? How do you let go of the fear and let yourself be happy -- even if that means spending some of that hard earned money?

It’s simple. You need a financial plan. You need a plan that will tell you:

  • How much to save

  • In what accounts

  • How much you’ll need to live 30 years or more without a paycheck

  • When it’s best for you to retire

  • When it’s best for you to take Social Security

  • And answer all the other not-so-little questions

So that at the end of the day, you know what you need. How to get there. And that everything will be okay in the end.

The air will clear. Fear dissolving in a cleansing breeze. And what remains will be the knowledge that you can afford to take that vacation. To get that new car. To treat yourself. Life will be more enjoyable. Because you’ll be out of survival and you’ll have that balance to occasionally splurge without worrying about going broke.

So let me ask, do you want to keep the fear and become an unhappy miser? Or do you want to open up a window and clear out the stink? Watch this presentation and start to let yourself be happy.
